The Conference Venue is the main building of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (the VU):
It is situated in the business district of Amsterdam (Zuidas), close to the city center.

The conference venue can be easily reached by public transport:
- from Schiphol International Airport and train station, take the intercity service in the direction of Amersfoort or Utrecht Central Station and exit at the Amsterdam Zuid stop (about 10 minutes). From there the venue is a 10 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes by tram 5 or metro 51 to the Boelelaan/VU stop.
- from Amsterdam Central Train Station, take the metro line 51 which departs every 10 minutes, to the De Boelelaan/VU stop next to the venue entrance (about 25 minutes).
- from the city center, you can take tram 5, 16, or 24 or metro 51 (10-15 minutes) to the De Boelelaan/VU stop next to the venue entrance
The Conference Language is English
Presentations in French are most welcome; however, no simultaneous translation will be provided. The French presentations will be clustered together in French-speaking workshops.

In order to use public transport you can purchase a universal Public Transport Chip Card, valid on train, metro, tram and bus, which can be bought at Schiphol, Amsterdam Central Station, Amsterdam Zuid and other major public transport connection points.
Taxi: please be aware that taxis in Amsterdam are very expensive compared to other European and North American capitals. In order to use a taxi you need to either call them or go to a taxi stand. Picking up a taxi by hailing it on the streets is usually not possible.
Amsterdam is famous for its museums, eg. Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum en Stedelijk Museum. In order to avoid standing in an endless queue it is advisable to buy tickets beforehand via internet.
